Popago Golf Course

Home course for Arizona State University’s golf teams, Papago Golf Course is a premier public golf course in Phoenix, Arizona. Designed by Billy Bell in 1963, it has been a favorite among locals and visitors for its scenic desert landscape and stunning views of the Papago Buttes, its challenging layout, well-maintained fairways and affordable rates. The course features an 18-hole championship design with wide fairways, strategic bunkering and undulating greens. Meanwhile, The Thunderbirds Golf Complex, designed by Sun Devil alumnus and five-time PGA Major Championships winner Phil Mickelson, is a top-tier practice facility, including a driving range, five practice greens, four practice bunkers and a three-acre fairway and rough designed to practice every possible golf shot.
